Synopsis
Caitlin Roberts has just turned sixteen. It’s her first summer holiday at the seaside, with a promise of beach parties, sun-tanning and new friends.
Caitlin befriends Grace, a resident of the village and the grandmother of Bunty and Gillian Manthe; and the Manthe family don’t like anyone interfering in their business.
But Grace has a secret, a story she feels compelled to tell.
Whilst hiking on the remote windswept peninsula, Caitlin and her group of friends are caught in a storm, scatters them and placing them in danger. Taking shelter in a cave, Caitlin and Bunty make a grisly discovery.
On their return to the village, Caitlin does what she believes is the right thing, and reports the find to the village police. The ramifications of the discovery takes it's toll on Grace and the Manthe family, and disquiet spreads through the village like wildfire.
Blamed for causing upheaval in the sleepy seaside village, Caitlin’s summer dream turns into a nightmare as Grace’s story unfolds.
